An Important Book for Our Time
Clarence Darrow’s Unlikely Friend

“If there is a God, I believe he would be an internationalist.”
- Clarence Darrow

“Mr. Darrow had Christian ethics without the Christian creed.”
- Clarence True Wilson

Learn how Clarence Darrow took on the Prohibition madness of his day and won the friendship of a leading Prohibition advocate. The book is about friendship. Available on-line or from Powell's Book Store, Portland, Oregon.

The author, Robert Dean McNeil, has become an admirer of Clarence Darrow and now writes Daily Thinkables in the spirit of Clarence Darrow.

McNeil is a retired clergy person, who left pastoral ministry to do thirteen years of work in alcohol and drug addiction prevention and recovery. Now, in retirement, he views himself first as a human being, second as an author, and third as a philosopher.
